Hanted science fiction writers and Horror Richard Matheson died at the age of 87 years. He survived his wife Ann Woodson and his three children. The author was born in Allendale New Jersey by Norwegian immigrant parents. He grew up in Brooklyn and served in World War II.
His writings have become eternal classics that include fans in various generations. His written job, my legend was adjusted to the screen three times, which recently starred Will Smith in 2007. He also wrote for several television series including Twilight Zone, The Star Trek Star Trek, and Star Trek. Matheson also wrote several Adaptations Edgar Allan Poe, including “House of Usher,” “The Pit and Pendulum” and “The Raven,” for the filmmaker Roger Corman.
Matheson has been scheduled to accept the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Film Visioner Award during Saturn Awards on Wednesday. Award will be presented annually, and the event will now be dedicated to him.
Three Matheson children followed in his footsteps and became a writer of scenarios and fiction novels.
