The Story of Modern Saree Blouse
According to mythology, RabindraNath Tagore’s sister-in-law Gyananadinidevi invented the blouse in its then-most-current shape. Gyanandinidevi, however, was turned away from an English club which she tried to attend wearing a Bengali saree due to inappropriate clothing.
